“People don’t dress up enough anymore!”
This is coming from a group of friends that create theme parties and elaborate reasons to dress up. We’ve had tea parties and a Greek Goddess themed bachelorette party (I was Hera: queen of the gods and wife of Zeus!). One time we even had “box wine night” and dressed up like hillbillies. I’m pretty sure I looked more like the “around the way girl” in the LL Cool J video from back in the day, though…
However, when I’m in my closet – one of my favorite places in the world – I have noticed that I have increasingly started dressing down more often. Leggings have become my best friend during cooler months and when it’s summer in Texas; the least amount of clothing I can get away with wearing in public, the better!
So, I’m torn! I live a very active lifestyle, but I love my stilettos! Whatever is a girl to do?
I’ve decided to just go with the flow! I am blessed to have a closet full of great clothes for literally any and every possible occasion. So, for now, I’ve resolved to take the cues from our favorite billionaires who wear the same thing all the time! Maybe I can channel some of that billionaire energy and join the #billionairebossbabe club.
When the time comes for a special dress up occasion, I’ll be ready to rock – and turn heads!
This is technically not a New Year’s Resolution because we know those never work!
However, it is a resolution in that I have resolved to no longer stress about it and leave room in my head for other obsessions!
