Emmys 2016

The luxurylyst is back and what better way for our soft launch than to dish about the Emmys!

So! I don’t have much to say about the red carpet this year. I was annoyed at a few “ladies” that chose not to dress up. On the most glamorous night of the year for television. Just one night, I need you to glam it up just a bit! Seriously!!! I wish they’d hire me as a “dress code bouncer”. I would love that job! However, I digress…

Here are some of my favorite looks from the night!

Tracee Ellis Ross in Custom Ralph Lauren – one of my favorite actresses in one of my favorite designers. Ralph could’ve put my girl in a potato sack and she would have still made my best dressed list! Yep! I’m biased!

When my friend (in my head for now), Kerry Washington hit the red carpet showing off her baby bump, I heard the whole world go, “Awe”! How cute is she in this Brandon Maxwell original?

Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta – I love that Tina Fey and her pal, Amy Poehler, are funny girls who are also pretty! They are always my faves on the red carpet. I missed seeing Amy’s red carpet photo, this year!

Kids Zone!

I am a sucker for cute, sweet kids, so here are Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Millie Bobby Brown from the Netflix original show, Stranger Things (yes, I had to look up the show!) Little Miss Brown is in Red Valentino. Speaking of Valentino, I can’t wait to gush about the shorts I got at Neiman Marcus Last Call basically for free – another post though!!!

Speaking of cute kids; look at Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland – all grown up and they did it right before our eyes! Arial is showing off her cute curves in Yousef Al-Jasmi and Sarah did a great job of glamming up pants in Monique Lhuillier and a badass pair of Jimmy Choos.

National treasure, Cicely Tyson! I have no idea who she’s wearing! I don't even care! It just made me smile to see her on the red carpet! I do know those are Manolos on her feet!

I loved several more looks but I think these were my top ones for the night. I loved the bright colors and the cut out trend that was very popular on the red carpet! I need to get more familiar with these television shows!
